PARTALL® Hi-Temp Wax, 340 g
PARTALL® Hi-Temp Wax is a PTFE-containing release wax formulated for use in high-heat applications up to 350 °F (177 °C). Especially useful in applications where standard silicone waxes hinder post-finishing operations.
Hi-Temp Wax is a high-temperature release agent of modern, synthetic microcrystalline waxes and Teflon® (polytetrafluoroethylene). Yields high-gloss surfaces. Ideal for smooth, tight surfaces e.g. on GRP moulds. Polishing properties after a drying time of approx. one minute.
Application instructions of the manufacturer:
Rub wax thoroughly onto the clean surface of mould. Allow the wax to remain on mould until moderately dry (the wax will appear hazy). Buff with clean towelling, we recommend our cleaning and polishing cloth until a clear high gloss appears. Rebuff the entire mould surface with cleaning towelling. Note: Use 2 to 3 coats of wax on the first application only. Re-wax and buff as necessary.
Consumption: 20-60 g/m2 (quantity depends on the condition of the mould surface)
Important note on substrates:
This product contains solvents based on hydrocarbons (Safety Data Sheet). It also contains a small amount (< 2 %) of aromatic hydrocarbons. Some surfaces made of plastic (e.g. polycarbonate, Plexiglas®, various varnishes, putties) are dissolved by it so that an impression cannot be taken. It is essential to check this before use, either by referring to resistance lists for the materials or by carrying out a preliminary test.
Technician tip
(Thomas Nothdurft, application engineer at R&G)
PARTALL® Hi-Temp Wax can be combined with the film release agent PARTALL® Coverall Film PVA from Rexco. The PVA is applied as the last layer with a Release agent brush without streaks. PVA dries to a glossy finish and is reapplied after each demoulding. Residues in the mould or on the component can be washed off with water.
The combination of two release agents ensures a particularly reliable release.
