Glass fabric 163 g/m² (Finish FK 144, aero, plain weave), width 130 cm

International Style 7630 (formerly Interglas 92105) is a fine E-glass filament fabric in plain weave. With an areal weight of 163 g/m², it combines a moderate fibre contribution per ply with a comparatively stable fabric structure. The fabric provides good wet-out characteristics and becomes largely transparent when fully impregnated.

Benefits of the Fabric

The high number of yarn interlacings in the plain weave provides good resistance to yarn displacement. As a result, the fabric structure remains comparatively stable during cutting, handling and positioning. This is a practical advantage for larger cut plies and for flat to moderately curved components.

Both warp and weft use EC 9-68 glass filament yarn. With 12.0 ends/cm in the warp direction and 11.5 picks/cm in the weft direction, the fibre distribution is approximately uniform in both principal directions. The fabric is therefore suitable for laminate designs requiring a comparable reinforcing contribution in the warp and weft directions.

Another advantage is its good wet-out behaviour. When fully impregnated with a suitable laminating resin, the glass fabric becomes largely transparent. This facilitates visual inspection of the laminate during surface reinforcement, repair work and the production of thin facing plies.
