Characteristic of twill weaves are the oblique, parallel lines (twill ridge) formed by the juxtaposition of the weave points (crossing points of warp and weft). The weft yarns (transverse direction) skip 2-3 warp yarns (longitudinal direction), so there are fewer intersections than with plain weaves.Twill fabrics are very malleable and well-suited for complicated components. The yarns lie more stretched in the fabric, which improves the utilization of yarn tensile and compressive strength in the composite.Bonding formula: K 1/2, K 2/2, K 1/3.
